The following are glaciated landscapes that I have photographed. Most are in the Lake District.

This is a view off Great Gable, one of the highest mountains in the Lake District.Note the glacial troughs and the ribbon lakes in the valley bottoms. The lakes are Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake. In the distance can be seen the Solway Firth with the Scottish coast beyond.(148K)
This is a view down into a hanging valley that lies above Seathwaite.(174K)
The same hanging valley but looking up into it.The route up to Great Gable passes through this valley.(168K)
This is a view into Ennerdale showing the "U" shape of a glaciated valley. Notice the conifer plantations that intrude upon this landscape.(130K)
A view of a ribbon lake off Great Gable - Buttermere? (96K)
A view of Thirlmere from the main road. This ribbon lake is also used for water supply and in this case conifers probably enhance the landscape.(152K)
A lovely autumn view of lake Windermere taken from Skeighyl Wood. (156K)
A view of Llyn Idwal in Snowdonia, a cwm or corrie. You can clearly see the steep backwall. (160K)
